Air New Zealand must love perplexing people. aha they must have mis-spelt Wellington.

"Air New Zealand must love perplexing people"
Nothing to do with Air New Zealand, its the brain-child (?) of Wellington International Airport.

This was from the Grabseat web page (http://grabaseat.co.nz/). They are offering cheap tickets to and from Wellywood instead of Wellington. This appears to be an Air New Zealand web site.

1204071 2011-05-25 23:48:00 This is an article (www.latimes.com) written in the Los Angeles Times about Wellington's Wellywood sign.

It appears that people over in Los Angeles and in New Zealand are against the sign going up.

I personally am in favour of a correctly spelt 'Wellington' sign going up.

1204072 2011-05-26 00:37:00 A bit late in the day WCC last night voted 10-4 against the sign.

Apparently the only way that the airport's plans can be legally challenged is by a judicial review.
Amazing that McKinnon can't comment, he gets paid $30,000 as the council's rep. on the airport board. Thats on top of all the other moolah he gets as the mayor's deputy etc.

1204073 2011-05-26 01:52:00 Numbnuts is the only description I can give to people who pay money to make a dumb sign. prefect (6291)
