| 1204132 | 2011-05-22 07:33:00 | But making P legal has totally different ramifications because as I stated earlier some drugs create a schizophrenic state in users. Take the guy a number of years ago who ran amok with a sumaru sword. Agreed. Abuse of P (in particular) has serious mental & health consequences. I'm certainly not advocating making it "available at the local dairy", but the current system of prohibition and incarceration is not preventing these people from unlimited and unsupervised access to these substances, currently only available at the house next to the local dairy... |

A guy I know used to take party drugs. Previously he was just an alcoholic and was tolerated but with the party drugs he would take them with alcohol which wasn't recommended and would remain awake way past when he would normally be asleep and became a right pain in the arse. Recently it came out how bad the marijuana legal substitutes were. Made the guy even more paranoid than normal marijuana made him. |

| 1204135 | 2011-05-22 08:22:00 | Drugs of all sorts have been a mainstay of my social circle since I was pretty much a kid, I've seen more people crash and burn then I would care to think about. Sensible use of heroin, cocaine, P? Just about everyone involved thinks they have a handle on what they are doing,, Hell, they think they are the clever ones. Even the mildest drugs have long term effects, Few people talk as much dribble as a habitual weed smoker. Not that I care in the slightest what an individual chooses to do with themselves, And I personally would decriminalise weed and ecstasy,But a policy of open slather would be just that. |

An unfortunate side effect of these tests though, is that they encourage the use of drugs other than marijuana, because they are detectable for a much shorter period. The issue should be purely about workplace safety and job performance, not about whether or not you participate in "illegal activities" on your own time. |

How stupid own time like these clowns pace their drug use so they are recovered by the time they get to work. Drugs have long term effects which effect the user making them dangerous at work. |
