| 1231882 | 2011-09-19 00:43:00 | Been through this myself Some of the older cards, the HDMI audio never worked properly (if at all) . Some had the 2 connectors for dig audio on the card, some had none, some had the connectors but werent labled or mentioned in the manuals(so could actually have been for anything) Some of these older cards also wouldnt interface very well with HDMI TV's I had to replace my card with a newer one to get HDMI working correctly. If its a newer, then it will have audio chip 'built into' the vid card. This will need the audio driver installed for that vid card (yes it does). Download & install the newest driver from Nvidia. |

| 1231883 | 2011-09-19 01:04:00 | I finally managed it resetting from 'clone mod' to 'indipendent mod' so HDCP would work then I changed the settings in the audio part of the nvidia card settings to 'nvidia high def audio' and it works!! ie I played with everything till something worked. Of course I now have no sound on the computer speakers but resetting is no problem now I know how and I guess I'll just push more buttons till something happens. Ta for all the help, always appreciated |
