You will almost lose your arm when trying that trick at 125mph down the M1, followed by the speed wobbles..........

1204810 2011-05-25 11:14:00 Wow. Everyone on this thread who has posted the name can actually spell Metla for some reason. Snorkbox (15764)
1204811 2011-05-25 13:29:00 The reason I posted that above is that some use Melta in case they did not get the point. Snorkbox (15764)

"The triggered lights usually work on an induction loop, which is basically a bit of coiled wire that completes a full circuit when the weight of a vehicle squishes it together."

Not exactly . A head nod is the alternative to a hand wave - and safer, e . g . especially when negotiating a tight curve . Also Harley riders and other cruiser riders will rarely wave to non-cruiser riders, especially if they are wearing a WW2 German style helmet .

One good thing about that Cracked article is the aspect of motorcyclists being effectively invisible to cagers . Safety Rule number 1 for motorcyclists: "Ride as if everyone is trying to kill you . "

Lmfao .

Never had a bike license .

A throwback to my days of giving the middle finger to the establishment .

:waughh: . . . . . .

Well Mets, I guess the establishment is giving you :groan: the middle finger back . But I guess you have an excuse . . . the decision not to get a bike license, wof, and reg was made when you owned a Harley . . . and Harleys have a way of making intelligent people stupid . :D

1204815 2011-05-25 23:13:00 I drive between Invercargill and Gore two or three times a day. After each trip I have to wash dead insects off the windscreen (dam cow cockies). I often wonder how motorcyclists get on. I am protected by the windscreen at least.

Once when nearing Invercargill I found that motorcycles were constantly overtaking me. Further, on I came across a police roadblock, which was set up for some reason to stop these gentlemen on motorcycles from coming into town. I found myself sitting at this roadblock surrounded by a motorcycle gang. Thankfully, the police directed me to take a detoured alternative route into town away from these motorcycle gentlemen.
