1204556	2011-05-24 22:53:00	The law is the law. :) When you renew your licence for five years it can be easy in five years time to forget to renew it. The NZ Transport Agency are usually good at reminding you to renew your licence but for various reasons your mail can go astray, especially if you change your address. I know of instances where bus drivers are pulled over by the police and find to their dismay that their licence has expired. The bus driver is unable to drive until he gets his new licence. Because this involves record and medical checks it can take up to six weeks before a new licence is received. This can involve the driver being stood down without pay until he gets his new licence. Everybody is capable of being negligent or forgetful, even the Police. It can be expensive though.	Bobh (5192)
