1204729 2011-05-25 00:25:00 Hi have a friend who is struggling, moneywise (like most) but is considering turning to being an escort to earn himself money. I dont want this to happen and was wondering if anyone can help me out in getting him some retail or customer service work out south auckalnd. I would really like to get him into the workforce and see no reason to go out and sleep for cash. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

1204730 2011-05-25 01:20:00 How old is he? What work does he/did he do?
What about temping?

Is he good-looking?:devil

Does he like the idea of hideous old bags with possible diseases?
Gross. He might cure himself of the idea after the first one.............

He could budget better too.

1204732 2011-05-25 03:44:00 18. Ah well he's an idiot.
Tell him to persist with job applications like everyone else on here.

The young guy recently who, at last, got his IT job after ages and ages of trying and work experience.

1204733 2011-05-25 04:44:00 I know it's not everyone's idea of a job, but suggest he apply around the supermarkets as a shelf packer. It could lead on to something else. I'm sure a few of them could use a fit young guy in that area.

I very much doubt it would pay as much as an 'escort' I'm not going to pass judgement on that one. He is lucky to have a friend who cares.

1204734 2011-05-25 07:00:00 Does he actually want a retail/customer service job or does he just see quick easy $$ as an escort?

If he is actually motivated to find "standard" work then he could try what a guy on the North Shore did recently - stand on the side of a busy road with a work wanted sign.

Does he have any customer service experience? What about training offered by WINZ?

Couldn't agree more, he must be either really desperate or slightly that way inclined... :xmouth:

Although depending on the type of escort service he 'provides' it can be just a person to take out for an evening, do all the crap that a significant other should, and leave it at that - no rolling in the hay when the evening out is done.

It can't be too hard to find *a* job, maybe not what one would term an ideal job, but if cash is tight - beggars can't be choosers eh?

Some of the jobs I worked at before I finally got into I.T. related position (after 7 months job hunting) were rather unpleasant to say the least...

1204738 2011-05-25 22:09:00 If your friend wants to prostitute himself for $$$$$$$$$$, then he deserves whatever diseases come his way.

Sorry, but he gets no sympathy from me :( :(
