| 1205374 | 2011-05-31 20:56:00 | I remember when dial-up was all that was available to home users. It was exciting to listen to that ghastly shriek as the Internet powered up. A 56k modem always performed at about 30k for some reason. I would hate to have to go back to dial-up. Who knows maybe in ten years time we will be discussing how slow broadband was. |

It worked fine as long as it was straight line and the string was taunt. We could never figure out how to get the string to turn corners so that we could go around buildings. |
