I'm dealing with 41,679 entries here and that would be worse than just going in a deleting each line of spurious text I want to remove individually . I tried manually deleting some of those garbage lines and after about 200 highlight-and-hit-DEL ------- it got pretty tiring real fast . Don't forget the full stop before the asterisk . Also you might want to remove cid= - it shows up in my WMP12 playlist but I noticed it didn't appear in your original post . Yeah - I'm using WMP10 .	SurferJoe46 (51)

While undeniably handy, you don't need it - notepad++ is fine for what you're doing, especially noting you've already installed it . As mentioned above, the reason your first attempt failed is because you omitted the ' . ' before the '*' (' . ' means 'any character', and '*' means 'repeated zero or more times') .	Erayd (23)
