| 1234341 | 2011-09-29 03:46:00 | I'm located in Wellington. I have just done a broadband Speed Test on my Paradise.net cable broadband connection. This shows that the download and upload speeds, and the ping response, are all significantly faster when the ISP server is changed from Wellington to Christchurch. In fact, today the download speed is over twice as fast! I've noticed on previous tests over the last few months that Christchurch is faster, often by a decent margin. How do I change my internet settings so that my broadband connection logs onto Chch instead of Wgton? I'm using Vista Home Premium, BTW, if that affects the answer. TIA Tinakarori |

I'm in wgtn also, doing the speed test Via wellington is a joke 2.08Mb/s change the server to Napier and its 15.09Mb/s ChCh is 15.18 and Across the Ditch in Aussie (www.ozspeedtest.com) 15MB test hits 18.59 ( average over several tests is around 16), which isn't bad for this time of day 5.45pm - the max is meant to be 15 (from memory) |
