| 1234279 | 2011-10-06 13:44:00 | Note: To run Catalyst, you need .Net framework installed and probably C++ runtimes as well. How can I know which .net framework to install in windows 7 64 bit? To be honest I haven't got the slightest of what it is, and the microsoft download center is cluttered with different installs... |

| 1234280 | 2011-10-06 14:15:00 | Oh wow. About the drivers. I just downloaded driversweeper, and before deleting my current drivers, I went to download the ones I would install later to have them ready. When attempting to download the ones auto-detected, I got "AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer". For what I see, I'm not the only one with this one issue: www.techpowerup.com forums.amd.com Now I don't even dare uninstall my current drivers, lest I'm unable to download the new ones afterwards :xmouth: |

Ok, well since you have Windows 7 you don't need to worry about that since it already comes with .Net Oh wow. This is to protect against the installing of drivers that may disable features or functionality provided by the system manufacturer. If unwanted experiences occur while using Catalyst Mobility, it is recommended to revert back to the driver provided by your system vendor for your specific platform. Please contact your system vendor for the most recent drivers for your notebook." I would try downloading the standalone installer rather than the auto-detection one, if you want the generic AMD one. If you want to give the AMD drivers a go, Try them from here: support.amd.com You'll also need to get the catalyst control center from: support.amd.com HOWEVER. I also have a Toshiba Laptop (although older) and it will NOT work with the generic AMD drivers. The only drivers which work properly are the ones from Toshiba (which is annoying since they are damn old). So, if the AMD ones don't work for you either, try getting some from Toshiba instead. |
