1208464 2011-06-12 00:56:00 yes i have a broadband query.
got an email from the isp saying we have used over the 80% level of our broadband. our renewel date is the 1st of each month........... we work and are at school and spent 3 days away last weekend ........ we only use the comp at night mainly.

should i be worried ? we have never hit this amount of our cap yet, i have a 10 gig plan, then it goes to dial up......... we are on our old comp, the peach and i dont think we excessivly use the comp. not ike we use to anyway...

ideas?
things to check?
i just cant beleive we have used this much when we have been home less than normal and we not near the end of the month yet....... only about halfway......

1208465 2011-06-12 01:08:00 Your ISP should be able to supply you with a log of when the data was used, either on their web site, or by request .

Look and see when the usage was, if it was used when you were not there and no one else was as well, then someone is using your connection , esp if you have wireless .

1208467 2011-06-12 03:00:00 are you with telecom? sometimes they can be a bit slow to send out the message and it could be from last month. Is the message dated? icow (15313)
1208468 2011-06-12 03:34:00 Telecom have been having some issues with incorrect usage. They tried telling me I'd used 20gig in a day but got that sorted. There is another thread on here regarding this ... apart from the one I started ... I suggest you have a look.

1208469 2011-06-12 05:28:00 We have allowed some neighbours to use our bandwidth, but we keep an eye on their usage using a nice little program from here:
