| 1207716 | 2011-06-08 07:47:00 | A single sperm has 37.5MB of DNA information in it. That means that a normal ejaculation represents a data transfer of 1,587.5TB www.reddit.com So it seems fair to assume the other half of a gamette, the egg also carries 37.5MB. So it takes a woman a whole month to pass 37.5MB Meanwhile the average guy (certainly in his youth) can commence the transfer of 1587.5TB, with the whole transfer completed in about 2 minutes, at a very substantial data burst rate towards the end of the transmission phase. Pity that the receiving end typically dumps all but 37.5MB, if not the entire lot. I think I'll stick with a twisted pair of copper wires for my data transfers - fun as the alternaive might be. |
