1208099 2011-06-18 08:04:00 As to point 3 : It is actually the Maori seats in parliament that are racist not so much the political parties as anyone can vote for them.

As to point 1 and 2 because they are related : I met a guy who wanted to get funds from the iwi or what ever it was to send his kid to university and couldn't and yet a kid of one guys running the trust got his university fess paid for, accommodation and a vehicle. The trouble with all the money they have received is that very few Maori are seeing any benefit from it and some of the top guys just seem to have their snout in the trough.

The sad thing is that it is really only a small percentage that are giving them all a bad name although it often seems like a lot more.

It is also people like the Harawira's that are creating the racism.

Carry on digging. You keep trying to put people down and yet the sad thing is you are really only putting yourself down.
Your post #65 really capped it for me.

I don't personally care where the Iwi spend money from settlements, not my business and not yours.

I don't care about Harawira, won't be voting for him.

Don't personally agree with Maori seats but it is not a big thing in the scheme of things, don't agree with MMP either but again not worth losing sleep over.

Question is why you care about who you refer to as "them"? The sad thing is you put a whole race down (and only one particular race at that) on the basis of one or two people you perceive to being problems. Keep digging yourself into that hole, or is it bunker.

Please tell me 12v. How many times have you personally been invited onto a marae and by personally I mean by friend or family not part of a group etc.

1208101 2011-06-18 10:39:00 The only thing I see you carrying the torch for is the Klu Klux Klan.

Kind of hard to do, considering my old man is maori etc

But hey, it's ok, I wouldn't have expected anything else :)

So there are two options then for you by the argument from your own post.

1. You're not interested in carrying the torch (and therefore according to you that is a problem)

2. You are half mad and think you are a black american slave.

And somehow Mikebartnz thinks I dug a hole, when you just jumped in your own quick sand. :horrified

The said torch has started a bonfire in this thread :stare:

Either that or someone's had too many margaritas

IIRC you were the one to allude him to be a KKK torch carrier....

1208108 2011-06-18 14:02:00 12v as you have avoided answering my question in post #82 I can only assume you have never personally been invited onto a marae. mikebartnz (21)
