Better than being violent don't you think? Recall in the 70's, issues with Islanders, Maori and traffic officers. Some cops were frightened when pulling over carloads of them. Island chap told me once.

1207985 2011-06-11 23:40:00 there was guys making "Maori WOF" stickers and car licenses some years back.
low lifes have no shame, even resorting to ripping off and insulting their own Whānau.

Well...some cops have no shame either. Not seen as low lifes either. Like our local Superintendent in Manukau -stealing office gear over several years. Another in Otahuhu, stealing from local community group to support gambling, saying he was stressed out. Reported in Howick Courier. I met him, when I had to pick up my nephew (yes part maori) once. This senior officer told me he was saddened to see so many young maori DIC's. Caring social type police officer. But his crime was well masked...

Off course they are not maori or "low life" type crimes - and Police shows will never show their own - and be publicized on TV.

Recall US cops doing that around '77- and they killed a 13 yr old mute/handicap. Stolen a car, and thought was violent, but he had fits when stopped (or ran off). Might evolve into semi-warfare if NZ armed cops shoot, and crims shooting back for any sort of police stopping. Since hard cores will shoot first if stopped won't they?

police are people too and you always get some bad ones. worse thing is bad police are generally extremely professional in their offending. they know all the tricks.
