1235546 2011-10-05 19:58:00 In the old FF, (like v3 I think) most of the time you could type a word in the url bar and it would look up that word and automatically take you to the apropriate website, even if I had never visited that site before and didnt have it in my bookmarks
For example I could just type imdb instead of imdb.com and it would automatically go to imdb.com. It was like an automatic "im feeling lucky" google search.
How do I get it back?

1235547 2011-10-05 20:47:00 The feature is still there. It simply remembers sites you've previously visited or bookmarked.

For example, to get to Press F1 fourms I simply type "pre" in the Location Bar and press the down key twice (down 3 times for this forum)

For New Zealand Herald I just type "Ne" and down arrow twice.

This will however depend on your Privacy settings. You need to either have the option to Remember History, or you'll need to bookmark these preferred sites and set the location bar to work from Bookmarks.

Mine is set to work from History and Bookmarks. It makes life a ton easier!

1235548 2011-10-05 20:56:00 That's not what I'm talking about, i want to type "google" and press enter and it automatically loads google.com, but instead when i type "google" and press enter it shows me a google search for the word "google" jareemon (5207)

1235552 2011-10-06 00:37:00 Make Firefox 4 address bar go straight to a site instead of some google search

about:config, scroll down to keyword.URL, double click, delete whatever's in there, copy & paste the code below, click ok, all done

www.google.com
