| 1235442 | 2011-10-04 23:50:00 | Have tried the Recovery Console to fix the "bootcfg /rebuild" and "fixmbr" but to no avail. Able to boot from a boot CD (I downloaded ages ago) and performed a system restore to the previous restore point but upon restarting, same NTLDR is missing error pops up. What else can I do? |

Works a charm most of the time, just read all the instructions. :p start reading from the section titled "Making the boot disk to work around the BIOS, MBR, NTLDR, and boot.ini problems" That's the one I downloaded long time ago and I could boot up my OS from it, but when restarting same error comes up. As mentioned earlier, a system restore doesn't help. |

| 1235447 | 2011-10-05 00:10:00 | Did you actually copy the new files from the CD onto the hard drive though? | wratterus (105) | ||

| 1235449 | 2011-10-05 00:19:00 | You copied boot.ini, ntldr and ntdetect.com to the root of the C: and made sure the old files were overwritten? I've never seen that not work - generally if the CD works, replacing those files will work too. |
