| 1236197 | 2011-10-07 20:57:00 | This old IBM ThinkCentre M52 8213-D93 (XP Pro SP3) has got a DVD ROM which is working fine and I would like to replace the DVD ROM with a DVDRW drive. Put in this BenQ DVDRW drive (it's old but works perfectly fine in another XP machine), the OS recognises this device but the drawer refuses to open - I could hear it's making some noises attempting to open but could not. I have to use a pin to force it to open and once opened, it opens and closes continuously. Updated the BIOS (downloaded from Lenovo) but still doesn't help. Any suggestions? |

Doesn't have to be installed, can simply be connected in place of the original, hanging out the side - if it works with another PSU then theres the problem. Hate those small form factor PSU's they can be a PITA to replace if needed :crying |
