| 1235807 | 2011-10-07 06:47:00 | My son's Netbook has a problem with the CD/DVD optical drive. Boots Ok into Puppy Linux and is normal in Linux. In Windows 7 Pro 64bit it shows on the Device manager as "windows can not load a driver for this device" If I uninstall the drive and reboot it finds the drive again but comes up with the same message. If I try to update the driver it says that the installed driver is correct. There is a list of Compaq Presario CQ62 PC on the HP site with more numbers after the CQ62. I can not find any model number on the machine other than CQ62. What to do? |

| 1235810 | 2011-10-08 07:11:00 | Thanks all. I found that some fonts were missing as well. Luckily I found a system backup image which I made when the computer was set up. I had also diverted "my documents" to the second partition so no data was lost. All Ok now except grandson has eaten one of the keys which he managed to remove, its the colon key so not important. He will probably get a pain in the arse instead of being one! | mzee (3324) | ||
