| 1235801 | 2011-10-07 03:38:00 | The screen on my friend's laptop (the same laptop which was dropped sometime back) has now developed another issue: this time, every second row of the screen appears to be lighter than they should. The problem exists in Windows 7, an Ubuntu live CD and the BIOS screen (so everywhere :p). Outputting to VGA is fine. I was able to restore normal operation by fiddling around with the lid a bit - opening and closing it a few times got it going again. Also occasionally more rows of pixels go light and are "animated" :p Loose connection, or something more sinister? :help: |

| 1235805 | 2011-10-08 22:47:00 | I got the screen panel out and noticed when I moved it, the "animated" problem occurs, and the screen almost whites out. The problem has never refixed itself since it did the first time either. :badpc: | pcuser42 (130) | ||
