1209441 2011-06-15 09:30:00 How much more money do we have to stump up?

Reported tonight here (www.3news.co.nz).

But was also reported back here (www.stuff.co.nz).

1209443 2011-06-15 10:03:00 I wonder if this is reciprocated when our people go over seas. mikebartnz (21)
1209444 2011-06-15 11:31:00 I hope this will guarantee that this farce will never be repeated in NZ. For only a little more dough than the RWC Christchurch could be usefully converted into paddocks where sheep could safely graze. R2x1 (4628)
1209445 2011-06-16 01:38:00 I think the sh*t will hit the fan when RWC is all over & we see just how much we actually paid, with profits going overseas .

I hope I never hear 'keep politics out of sport' again , as the Rugbyheads just loved to proclaim. This whole thing was just all politics: rugby mad politicians(National) wasting our money on this, trying to get some more votes.

How can they really believe everyone will go down to Party Central, to freeze thier asses off in the cold & rain ??

1209447 2011-06-16 04:05:00 Yeah, it seems the whole country has been hijacked in order to support a few sectors making a killing... the moteliers, the liquor sector, and the airlines may enjoy it. For the rest of us it's been pay, pay, pay. We'll be paying for our local stadium for decades.

Can't see the local pubs and moteliers offering to stump up the cost of it.

Now imagine the disaster if the volcanic ash cloud is again circulating during RWC!

1209449 2011-06-16 05:35:00 Well, that's to show the world that everyone here in NZ is as rich as J Key and his fellow politicians. :D After all, not their money, anyway. bk T (215)
