| 1235822 | 2011-10-07 06:33:00 | I would check device manager and see if the hard drive is running in PIO mode. Look under IDE ATA / Atapi controller. Double click on primary and secondary IDE channel. Then click on advanced settings. Does it say DMA or PIO here? Windows 7 should install sound and network drivers for most systems. And will install default video drivers. Its got a lot more drivers in it, than XP. Whats the specs of this computer? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

I've decided now to format the C partition and reinstall WindowsXP. Would you encourage to do that? |

Edited: the reason I asked if it were a Laptop or desktop is the same card is listed in some laptops. :) |
