| 1209572 | 2011-06-16 05:03:00 | I get pissed off with townies buying their pathetic little lifestyle blocks and then think they know all about farming and can dictate what a farmer can do.:mad::mad: I do have sympathy for people living near silage though.:yuck: I have seen lice ridden sheep on these blocks and they didn't even know. The best one was a Wellington couple bought a weekend lifestyle block just outside Masterton and then went to the Clairville sale and bought some calves. They then put them in a paddock and went back to Wellington for the week. They got back and found all the calves dead and wanted to complain that they had been sold duds. The silly buggers were so thick they didn't realise that the calves hadn't been weaned. |

Its not the townies that are the problem its the green party supporters and wealthy life style block owners who want the Sanitised "rural experience", most townies don't care what goes on on the farm. I for one never had a problem with the cowshit that used to get left on rural roads when the cows crossed to get to the milking sheds, and now farmers have to clean the roads or put mats out so speeding dicks don't get cow **** on their Mercs |

Not that I have ever seen one clean their crap off the road, But I have had a few close calls on the bike due to their negligence. |

A lot of farmers have put tunnels under the road to eliminate that problem. It is now mainly a problem when they are running them down and from the runoff during the off season. |
