| 1236861 | 2011-10-11 10:17:00 | Hi All Windows 7 won't boot up successfully on my main Desktop PC. It is hanging at the "Starting Windows" splash screen. Even after re-installing Windows 7 (which seemed to go okay) it is still doing the same thing. It just sits at the Starting Windows splash screen and goes nowhere. Prior to performing a complete re-installation I did try using the computer repair function within Windows 7 without any success. Prior to re-installing I could boot into Windows 7 in safe mode so not really sure what's going on?! Any suggestions? Thanks |

Had one here a while back,(even after a fresh install) in that case I updated the BISO to the latest ( it was an ASUS board ) and after that it worked fine. One of my own Workshop W7's (gigabyte Board) started to have hanging problems every so often - completely random, but when it started doing it, it would do it 3-4 times in a row, disconnected every USB device except the keyboard :badpc: changed the PSU (was a corsair)- problem never happened again (fingers crossed :D ) |
