1466967 2020-02-27 19:43:00 As if the panic levels weren't high enough already, Peta decided to add some fuel to the fire tweeting more of their famous alternative facts. "Carnivorous is an anagram of coronavirus. Coincidence? We think not!" reads the text.

Apparently, Peta backs up its claim with scientific knowledge: "Scientists have a hunch that contact with animal lives or their dead flesh may be the source of the deadly virus."

Twitter didn't believe it for a second: "Peta is an anagram for Pate. Coincidence? We think !" one replied.

1466968 2020-02-27 20:50:00 PETA are not particularly good role models for anyone www.zmescience.com

It seems a lot of times the most vocal protesters on any given issue don't stand up very well to scrutiny themselves. People in glass houses and all that.

Haggis is a sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal's stomach

Sorry, pate does not have lungs or heart and is not encased in aything and certainly doesn't have oatmeal or suet. All of which is gross.

It has: onion, garlic (optional), bacon, chicken livers (which are mild), cream, brandy, parsley, bay leaf.

1466973 2020-02-29 20:25:00 A well made haggis is actually very tasty, especially with a largish glass of Scotch to accompany it. Richard (739)
1466974 2020-02-29 20:38:00 I would have to drink more than one glass of scotch whiskey before I would eat the guts of any animal no matter how it was prepared. CliveM (6007)

Aye indeed. I was very pleasantly surprised when i ate my MILaw's haggis in Glasgow. :)

And I didn't have it with whisky (note spelling for Scotch).
