1466301 2020-01-29 09:00:00 Anybody ever ring the Healthline recently?

Not a good experience tonight when I phoned to get advice on something. The person seemed rather uninterested in what I was asking for advice on and didn’t really listen very well to what I was saying to her. Her advice was completely impractical for my situation and when I tried to explain that, it was extremely difficult to follow what she was telling me to do. Hmm. Just gave up in the end and thought to myself that if things got worse, then I’d just phone for ambulance anyway.... waste of time... !

1466302 2020-01-29 19:18:00 Healthline?

Isn't that a new thing, you get that before getting put through to an ambulance?

I have had idiots at the other end when ringing an ambulance.....
For instance:

Me: Husband having hypo
Her: Is he acting normally?

And even idiots turning up in the ambulance.

Could give you several examples but the worst was when he was totally unconscious, guy asked me for the glucose (you mix in water).
I said you can't give an unconscious person fluids by mouth and he said I am the medical expert here.

I told him to go ahead and drown him and I'd sue him after....

(His partner took over)

I don't think so. I was pretty crook so SWMBO rang Healthline (who apparently always have registered nurses on duty) after I had been discharged from hospital after I had a fall last year. They asked all sorts of questions then sorted it all out for her and even organized the Ambulance and my readmittance. SWMBO was an employee of the Health system for many years up till retirement and she was very impressed with how it was all done.
