| 1466165 | 2020-01-24 01:03:00 | So panel died on old one, $400 repair so my mum bought a Bosch Front Loader, recommended by repair guy (well, that or Miele he said) On sale so $839. We love it!!! Weighs a ton but it washes so well. Dries so well too...and not noisy. We did, as per the manual, lay a board screwed to floor first. It has one hose only, to cold and heats as a dishwasher does if you want hot or warm wash. Or change panel to cold before you start.... Removable soap compartment, if need be. A cover you can flick open to access pump/drain if items get lost... And a setting to speed it up. Ie cotton cycle 2.5 hrs normal, eco setting 1 hr. We have left it on eco, and are happy with the results. Never really cared about washers before, husband is sick of us going on, how thrilling he said in boredom. LOL, yes it is actually. me and my mum, standing there watching it operate this morning for ages...lol |

Also , having something like that so damn complex is just asking for repair issues. Cant see why a washing machine needs to be computer controlled My big Simpson just has analogue dials . | 1466170 | 2020-01-24 04:36:00 | Front loaders have been the way to go for a long time. You won't find a top loader anywhere in Europe for good reason, space you can't put a benchtop over them. Ours is almost always used on the quick cycle at 26 minutes. | gary67 (56) | ||
| 1466171 | 2020-01-24 05:00:00 | Rule one when buying washing machines: Never buy a front loader ever. Why? I used to hate them, mainly how long they took. But as I said, it has the eco mode so no different in time. It washes better, it dries better, it's quieter. It's great all round. |

Used to not putting stuff on it, and then I realised, oh yeah, you can sit things on top....so the wash soaps are on it now...shelving is on other walls, behind machine is the window....quite a wide one, so it used to sit there, my mum can't reach on shelves and laundry is too narrow for more floor standing stuff. It's much better I rearranged things and she can get in and out better now, stuck her trolley basket thing at the other end by door so that isn't in the way now. |
