| 1462625 | 2019-07-24 00:56:00 | My mum has a Nexus 5 and is getting old and buggy. Looking for another. What do you suggest? She uses chatting apps such as WeChat, Whatspp and watches videos on Youtube etc ... (like cooking). It has to new, ideally 64GB at least. I have thought about a newer Samsung A50 or a older higher model like a Samsung S8. She also doesn't want a China phone. Cheers. |

While you can get 64GB Samsung A50 in NZ for around $500, if your going to spend $500 better to get it from someplace like Dicksmiths, 128GB for less. www.dicksmith.co.nz My son got a Phone Via their site the S10 from memory, took about 5 days to arrive. Got my own phone from Aliexpress, a Lenovo direct from the suppliers at a fraction of the cost here in NZ, works perfectly fine only problem I have with it is it keeps falling out my pocket - Not the Phones fault ;) |

Found this review, its a couple of years old but may lead in the right direction, who knows. www.buzzfeednews.com In the review it also mentions the Google Pixel with minimal apps preinstalled. BUT if they work in NZ is another story, and not exactly cheap, seems the less you get (with junk apps) the more it costs) :) |
