1461828 2019-06-29 08:47:00 Recent updates of Google Chrome in Windows, and Linux Mint are producing annoying notations.
* When closing a Tab I get asked if I really wish to leave the page.
* When I download a file, I get asked if I really want to keep the file.

The settings are the same as they have always been.
How can I stop this?

It happens mostly with Gmail.

1461831 2019-06-29 12:56:00 Happens to me in Firefox as well so it's definitely not Chrome-specific (though with Firefox's messaging of course). To me it seems like Gmail is still working on updating itself in the background (like marking an email as read) when you close a tab.

Not sure if there's much the users can do though.

1461832 2019-06-29 13:55:00 Google mail used to be so fast for me to access but nowadays it is very slow and takes ages to complete loading the page. For about the last three months.

I haven't decided whether it is my browser/computer set up or problems with Gmail.

1461834 2019-06-30 08:04:00 Gmail does ask if I want to leave the page when closing the tab in FF but not always gary67 (56)
1461835 2019-07-02 08:23:00 Since I removed a You Tube enhancer extension it hasn't happened. Maybe coincidence. mzee (3324)
