1461634 2019-06-18 04:56:00 Hi all
Been a long time since I posted or visited this site. Been a busy old time.

This may be something that cannot be answered here but thought I'd ask.

Anyway I have three VoIP 2Talk numbers behind a new fibre Vodafone modem. The modem is configured for one of the numbers that is with 2Talk and I have disabled the option in the modem.

Phones were working fine on Vodafone VDSL but turned to custard on the fibre connection (different modem). 2Talk logs would show two numbers as not registered for days but yet the phone could be used to ring out. Incoming calls would sometimes go to phone or the other (shared Number) or not ring at all and divert to another phone.

All issues disappeared once I removed the Vodafone modem and replaced it with a Mikrotik.

I have installed many VoIP systems behind Spark, 2Degrees etc modems and trying to think if I have any other Vodafone fibre out there.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and know of what option if any to disable in the modem. I've looked and cannot find any thing helpful.

Cheers

1461635 2019-06-20 01:26:00 Really basic question, but did you check the SIP ALG setting? I assume this is the new UltraHub you're having issues with? I don't know what this setting is by default on those routers. Pretty sure it's disabled by default on the HG659. wratterus (105)
1461636 2019-07-16 09:31:00 Hi wratterus. Never a basic question :) Yes the Ultra Hub (I should have posted that) and SIP ALG was disabled by default and I tried enabling/disabling and turning off all VoIP related services etc. In the end gave up and replaced the modem with a Netcomm with no issues. Mikrotik is something I use where I can but requires some learning and the local IT support for the business didn't have any experience with them, hence the change to Netcomm. Cheers berryb (99)
