1466185 2020-01-25 21:22:00 And I have never seen a front loading sink either Zippity.

Old age is getting to me.

Unfortunately, I misread your original post and couldn't understand why all the replies were talking about clothes washing machines :)

1466186 2020-01-25 22:32:00 We had a top loading dishwasher when I was a teenager more than 30 years ago so I know they existed once. dugimodo (138)

Prefect says front loader can leak.
I said sinks, dishwashers, etc etc can leak too.

Then you make your comment.

Anything involving can leak, it's not a valid reason not to ever own a front loader as he suggested.
Ok?

But yeah I know you're just being smart...
Anyway it IS getting boring now.

next.....tanks.

1466188 2020-01-26 03:26:00 Old age is getting to me.

It's a real bugger isn't it. Then I look at the 90 year old books next door who is recovering from a fall (broken rib) while standing on top of his toilet trying to change a light bulb. Of course I told him he was a silly old fool and why didn't he ask for help, which we would have done.

To which he replied..."Who, you do it? You're the silly old fool who fell of a ladder doing the same outside your garage in the dark.!"

To which, I shut up and said no more :)

1466189 2020-01-29 18:18:00 So panel died on old one, $400 repair so my mum bought a Bosch Front Loader, recommended by repair guy (well, that or Miele he said)
On sale so $839.
It has one hose only, to cold and heats as a dishwasher does if you want hot or warm wash. Or change panel to cold before you start....

Ok, so I've been thru Noel Leeming and HN washing machines and can't find any BOSCH for that price, OR one for any price that advertises the-heating-of-cold-water function.

Got me buggered. Where did you get yours??

This is what you do:

pricespy.co.nz

(Or Priceme as well)
Both actually.

I see it is now $888. (The 7.5kg one)
$839 was the price from Heathcotes, a few days later 2 others followed, HN and I forget the other one.
It was on sale....

Price History shows you.

After deciding on what to buy I have always checked Pricespy and Priceme to see who has it for the cheapest price.
Except once, Appliance Shed in henderson never used to be on Pricespy, I went in and the Mitsubishi fridge I had chosen was $599 at NL, I told them this and got it for $584....

I have used Heathcotes before, a store in Hamilton (Yes we had to pay shipping as well)
But they generally have good after sales service.

What would we do without the net?
Get ripped off.....

I went to buy some label maker tape the other day, ages since I bought some. Lucky I didn't just jump in the car and go.
Warehouse stationary wanted $43!!!
PBTEch $38.

Dealer on Trademe $6.80.

Now this wasn't generic vs branded. The same one. Same tape, same model, same packaging.

Like Dick Smith used to sell printer cables for $24. I bought them for $2 and sold them for $5.
Nowdays you can buy them even cheaper.

Pays to shop around first.

and husbands beer. He was going to go up the road to the bottle shop. $17 for 12pk Haagen I saw online
Countdown shows me $14.

I needed to get catfood anyway so we went and bought 2 boxes of beer.

He can't taste the difference anymore and likes Haagen for the easy open bottles.
It isn't bad actually, mild tasting if anything.

Anyway, same thing, cheaper generally at Pak n Save, but Countdowns was on special yesterday so said the net when I checked first

1466194 2020-01-30 00:18:00 I have a 6 pack of 440ml Haagen's in the fridge right now. Not a bad drop and I like the big cans - less time exercising back and forth to the fridge.
The potential for weight-loss doesn't bear thinking about..
