I think they built Huntly instead. Was also supposed to be converted to burn Auckland's waste but the greenies killed it. Popular method in Sweden of getting rid of rubbish. |

Thorium reactors were initially considered way back , but not pursued despite being safer as they couldnt make plutonium for bombs . The big issue will allways be getting rid of the radioactive waste . Even now its often stored onsite , outside in 'temporary' containers . Round up was safe as well. |
