Husband is almost 72, he has lung problems and artery/heart problems. He's not panicking either, we just went out, he went in to buy beer and I was looking for a packet of seeds....had to buy my seeds online in the end, apparently there's panic buying of seeds and veg seedlings too now. I had a look to see which (no not the leeks, they just didn't have any (no label)), the empty slots were corn, tomatoes, lettuce, silverbeet, caulis and such. Er.......it's autumn, too late for tomatoes and corn, and lettuce? Hmmm, not exactly my choice for a famine garden. Plenty of parsnip seeds, and parsnips and swedes are an autumn thing actually. LOL. |

Husband is out of medication, inc insulin in another couple of days. Docs were nice, they going to sort it...but geez, the insanity out there. I had to go, to sort this, as we haven't been seen yet and old doc is no more. The traffic was like Lincoln Rd, Lincoln Rd itself, is probably insane. So is off for 4 weeks now, his partner is already off work. He isn't shopping cause they have $19 till payday, and anyway you apparently can't get in the damn carpark, never mind the actual supermarket. People are selfish pricks, and stupid. I stopped at local dairy on way home (got 2 cans of catfood) and she commented, we're open, why the madness, she had some empty shelves now. Flour especially. Why??? The funny bit was Mr Mongrel Mob sitting outside with a black mask on. I said that won't help much you know, and he laughed and said yeah I know. I said and shouldn't it be red? He thought that was so funny he followed me to the car laughing and commenting about how he could add the writing as well etc etc, and said have a good one, take care, I dropped my tins and he picked it up and handed it to me... So not all mad......he had no shopping with him. |
