| 1461792 | 2019-06-28 06:33:00 | My Ultraplus F9000HD PVR gave up after 9 good years and I want to replace it. It seems there are only single tuner models available apart from the Dish Top Box which gets poor reviews (2.5 stars out of 5). I like twin tuners to record two movies or programs on different channels. Any suggestions or recommendations? |

| 1461794 | 2019-06-28 12:37:00 | How about this one for satellite reception: Panasonic Freeview On Demand Recorder with Twin Satellite Tuner (www.freeviewshop.co.nz) Or this one for terrestrial reception: Panasonic DMR-HWT260 FreeView® HDD Recorder (www.freeviewshop.co.nz) I bought my UltraPlus X-9200HD PVR from Freeviewshop in 2014. Still going well after five years. :) |

Also I can view a pre-recorded channel while recording others. Somewhere a manufacturer should be able to sell these on the open market without us being locked into Sky. |

The Panasonic Twin Tuner noted earlier in this thread can do all of this without being locked into Sky (via terrestrial or satellite). It works well if you are satisfied with Freeview, but Lightbox and Netflix are also accessible from the Panasonic tuner "out of the box" in the sense that they are programmed into the Functions menu - you just need to link to the internet and log in. I was concerned initially that my tuner connection to the internet would be via WIFI, but there have been no concerns in practice. I am convinced that I get a clearer TV picture via this tuner than I did using a DISH box, but it could just be my imagination. The TV Guide function works really well, including recording via the guide if you wish. |

| 1461800 | 2019-07-14 01:50:00 | People still watch broadcast TV? Please suggest another method. In our motorhome 30km from Whangarei with no 3 or 4G service. Satellite freeview reception is perfect. On demand, Netflix etc. are not options until we move perhaps tomorrow. |
