| 1210604 | 2011-06-19 23:35:00 | The freeware aTube Catcher is good for acquiring YouTube videos via their urls, but recently I tried the screen capture button, which makes a wmv video file of an adjustable window. You can't edit the wmv parameters or capture in a different format, but my Bravia played the wmv without any problem. (I don't think it's advertised as supporting wmv.) This gave me the idea of capturing a week's worth of RNZ Concert programme listings and bringing the listing up on the TV while listening to the radio. This is quick and effective. Here's a camera shot of the TV screen: TV = EX700 Computer screen = 1680 x 1050 IE8 fonts = Large + 150% OS = Win7pro64 (Bravia only connects to DLNA server, ie Win7) Bravia mode = browse network folder shares (The wmv file won't play on WD TV Live HD media player) |
