We have tarpaulins covering almost the entire roof as the lateral supports for the roof have come loose and smashed through the tiles plus chimney broke about 20 tiles in Sept quake plus firewall moving has shifted tiles on the roof as well, doesn't seem to be much water coming in at present and it has been pouring down most of the day. |

| 1210380 | 2011-06-20 06:09:00 | When I came to Nelson and started work as a builder here, everyone told me that Nelson by-laws said we had to put steel in the concrete pads but if I had gone to Chch instead I would have found the by-laws different as they don't say you have to put steel in the concrete. Coming from England I thought that was plain crazy I had never heard of anyone Not putting steel in the concrete pads before we certainly had to over there Don't we now have 3 feet of top course in place of the steel re-enforcing ! then the concrete pad. As if anything is capable of withstanding the forces metered out over the past 9 months. When did England last have a quake of any note ! Lurking. |

| 1210387 | 2011-06-20 12:11:00 | Aspergers and I don't know what would cure it but in MY VIEW I do have some ideas having read up about same after it was mentioned. One of the symptons was being physically clumsy and Goodiesguy does not seem to display that symptom as he has mentioned in the past changing video cards and other hardware. So it it just an excuse? Other symptoms seem to describe him so it may be real. en.wikipedia.org I do suspect that living in Christchurch at the moment can't really be humour laden for many there. |
