I am craving for another crazy road trip.:drool:drool:drool Rotorua and environs - Blue Lake, Lake Tarawera, various hot springs - thermal areas, etc.. Lot of cheap accommodation in Rotorua and plenty of activities, cafes, etc. Whakatane is not that far away and is worth a visit.	Strommer (42)

Lot of cheap accommodation in Rotorua and plenty of activities, cafes, etc. Whakatane is not that far away and is worth a visit. After visiting Tokoroa, :), Rotorua is about 40 minutes away. Then shuffle off to Whakatane and take the coast road back to Napier via Te Kaha. Rotorua tourism spots can be fairly expensive though. Last time I was in Rotorua I wanted a soak in a private pool and was refused as I was on my own. I did not have bathing trunks with me and did not want to rent same as I had no idea who used them last! If you want to climb Mt Tarawera it will cost you too. www.whakarewarewa.com	Snorkbox (15764)
