| 1210168 | 2011-06-18 01:19:00 | Why not? if I could destroy a rental and blame the GPS then I'd be stoked. |

"The women were in the car when it plunged into the water". But then the video tells us "Girls escape sinking car after crashing into Mercer Slough". :D |

| 1210170 | 2011-06-18 01:52:00 | I have a GPS in my car. I find a GPS helpful in most circumstances when I am in a strange area. I find that common sense should prevail as you cannot place complete trust in directions given by a GPS. Having a printed map as a backup is a good idea. I have turned my GPS on when travelling from Invercargill to Te Anau. There is one part of the journey where the GPS insists on telling me to take a right turn. If I obeyed the GPS I would end up driving into a creek. I just shrug my shoulders and carry on travelling on the main road. The GPS resets itself and I carry on my journey. |

There is nothing worse than being in a creek without a paddle. |

Husbands GPS insists on trying to get him to do a U-turn on the new SouthWestern motorway. Imagine the excitement if he obeyed. Some people are just retarded. |

Am I doing the right thing? Of course not, technology is never wrong just ask Apple or Microsoft . You should always obey the GPS it's never wrong . One reason we don't have one in the car . I only have a handheld to mark places I have been while going bush, such as caves etc which can then be marked on a map to see how they relate to other caves in the area . I don't use the handheld for navigation very often . |
