1239030 2011-10-21 22:42:00 Morning all,

Have a laptop here that is giving me a BSOD with the above error.

Only happens when running MBAM and it gets to pagefile

Other details:

STOP ...07A
ataport.sys

Have run chkdsk /f /r ... no errors
Have also run memtest all day - 29 passes; no errors

Currently googling
Also, I know this is a symptom of SB700 southbridges; as far as I can ascertain this laptop does not have that
Computer is an Acer Aspire :yuck: 5315

Cheers

www.vistaarticles.com I seen that too.
Just wondering if there is a BIOS update fixing this.

Odd .. MBAM seems to run ok in safe mode

1239033 2011-10-21 23:53:00 If its only BSOD when running malwarebytes, -- could be the thing has infections and they are fighting back :D

Download and run superAntispyware, see what it finds ( link in my sig) -- use complete scan, if it crashes as well, run it in safe mode. Malwarebytes isn't as good as many think it is, it does miss a lot.

1239034 2011-10-22 10:04:00 Ran superAntispyware - no problems with BSOD. Same with AVG free
Uninstalled MBAM... client can keep superAntispyware.

Now.... just gotta fix this last issue and she can have it back :D

1239035 2011-10-24 09:29:00 Run tdsskiller on it. That stop error can be caused by a rootkit Speedy Gonzales (78)
