| 1239021 | 2011-10-21 09:56:00 | Sometimes when I put my laptop into sleep, when I resume the laptops' screen doesn't show anything (no image, backlight etc). When I plug my laptop into an external monitor and set it to extend screens it displays an image on the external (all other options do nothing), and I can set the extrenal to primary monitor, etc. However this time the laptops' screen is listed as "Generic non PnP monitor" rather than "IBM ThinkPad" or whatever. When I change it from extended to only show on 2 (external), the external goes blank, and when I press escape (to undo the changes) the graphics card driver crashes, with Windows saying that it has stopped responding and has recovered: 3310 AFAIK there are no new drivers. At that point I usually have to reboot the whole laptop which is a pain in the ass. What could be the cause of this? |
