1238750 2011-10-20 03:24:00 Hi again
As I'm upgrading there's one other thing I want to do. Sometimes i want to put something I've recorded on my skybox onto a DVD. In the past I've used those yellow, red, white cables (forget the real name) however I now use a HDMI cable to watch video off the computer on the tv. Is there any way to just plug this cable into the sky box and do it in reverse to record on the computer
any help appreciated

1238751 2011-10-20 08:33:00 Does mySky have the the holes for teh composite cables you're talking about? (red white and yellow for video).

Or component ( 3x video 2 x audio) cables?

And what are your recording with?

TBH there's not a lot your can do about it. The my sky is not designed for long term storage, or for getting videos off.

1238752 2011-10-20 19:45:00 So far I have been usingthe composite cables running to a TV card on the computer but I was hoping to get rid of them and just use the HDMI cable kiwibits (5574)
1238753 2011-10-20 20:00:00 Sky doesn't want you recording directly onto your PC so they have made it hard.

I don't think there is any way to record via HDMI.

I record via MySky through DVD recorder (for connection only) to a capture card in my PC (for editing purposes) via composite cable.
