1212099 2011-06-26 04:07:00 I fitted one in my truck about 5 years ago was pretty easy one wire to reversing light one to power one to earth.
Might be easier now as they are wireless to the camera

1212101 2011-06-27 06:14:00 go wired.

wireless ones still need a power wire so you don't really gain much and they tend to pick up all sorts of things eg baby monitors, wifi, etc. so they cop a lot of interference.

big thing with installing is mounting them somewhere where they don't get to much dirt on the camera lens. behind the rear window (if you have rear wipers) is good but need to shield the camera otherwise you get reflections off the glass.

most come with IR led's for night vision. try to get ones where the IR leds are mounted separately. if they are mounted behind the front glass with the camera the IR bounces off the glass (especially when dirty) and into lens. you get total white out picture.

also wire it so it runs when the engine is running rather than just when you reverse. that way they heat up and drive off moisture. otherwise they tend to have a habit of fogging up in cold weather.
