1211302 2011-06-22 22:40:00 Wet huh? We've been over 100F/38C for the past week - and less than 3% humidity. Fire season is here. SurferJoe46 (51)
1211303 2011-06-22 22:57:00 No doubt it will drive the snakes out of the bush and onto your property SJ. John H (8)

1211306 2011-06-22 23:37:00 We have a few rattle snakes all the time - no surprises there. The coyotes and mountain lions are slightly more worrisome - they run and bite whatever's in their escape path.

There are also some bears in the local woods, and I've seen a few, although not today.

Interesting though is that the youngest rattlers don't rattle as much as their parents. The ones that rattle get killed faster - might be selective something-or-other there.

1211307 2011-06-23 00:00:00 Oh, lots of goodies then? Why aren't you living in NZ? John H (8)

Those animals aren't a problem - it's the drug dealers and gangs with their 'kill everybody at the bus stop to get one guy' types that bother most people.

Here - where I live, we only get gangland multiple decapitations when some local grower or cooker gets the ire of the Mexican Mafia up, and they come into this area and clean house a little.

We watch the black helicopters and the Fed NARC cars all lined up around a crop field and we know what's going on - so we just drive on by.
