1238404 2011-10-19 09:16:00 To be honest, i do not think we will ever see NZNet online again. They seem to be dead in the water. ominous is the disappearance of their website.
i will go somewhere else, especially since I have no binding contract with NZNet, but can cancel anytime.
thanx for the suggestions guys !

1238405 2011-10-19 22:33:00 Also today no Internet connection and the site nznet.co.nz can not be reached. no emails from nznet explaining what is going on and the phone is not answered.
I went to HD Internet providing and cancelled my bankauthority to have the amount for the coming month deducted.
NZNet, if they ever come in business again should be ashamed of themselves for ceasing internet provision for their customers for now 41 hours without any form of explanation or willingness to speak to its customers.

1238409 2011-10-20 01:10:00 Wow OK so I got tipped off to this:
pastie.org

EDIT: ETA is supposedly back up and running today. Good for their customers at least :)

1238410 2011-10-20 02:08:00 i am now so glad i jumped, god nz net is gonna lose at least 80% of its clients with this outage. I feel bad for people who don't have net access and can't even find out what's up with them. chuanwai (12518)

with the example set by Rod Petrevic, they can walk away from the company's debts and be back up and running again with a new company.
