1211280 2011-06-23 10:07:00 So stinking hot all the time like Brisbane is better? Have you been to Australia lately?

Indeed, I lived there for 5 years and make a few trips over every year.

and you?

Me thinks you know pretty much nothing.

1211281 2011-06-23 10:16:00 On a more personal note I'd much prefer living in NZ, The lifestyle on offer, and the ready access to stunning nature (on a motorbike, off-road and onroad) cannot be replicated in Aussie but as a father and a husband my role is to provide, and that means employment.

And that means going where the work is, and if I have to spend 60 hours a week at work then Im going to look for the big projects with the big roles and the big paycheck.

Australia also has about 18X the amount of people hiding on there disability benefit than we have on sickness here (should be 5.5x Relatively speaking). I dispute there unemployment rate WHEN comparing it to NZ its more like 9.5%

Mind due governments here have stacked unemployment onto the sickness benefit in the past to make unemployment look better, but we are not doing it atm.

Just go Melta stop winging, don't let the door hit you on the way out :)

If you're going to quote facts and figures, be prepared to tell us where you get from them from. That way you'll lend some credibility to your claims.

Otherwise, we could be justified in dismissing your ravings for what they are.

Things can't be too bad here if you can afford a couple of trips to oz a year

Financially I'm fine, But I live apart from my wife and children in order to support them.

This contract runs out in a few months and then the game changes again.

But don't take it as a complaint, I'm doing what I have to do, and when it comes to the next crunch i will again do what I have to do.

You're right, that changes everything, Guess I'll just forget working towards the diploma I just signed up for and head down the Allied work force office and see if they have any casual positions at the pet food factory.

Then I'll do the same thing every day all day, returning to the same house every day at the same time, until I get too old to work, then I'll sit in my rundown house I could never afford to maintain and slowly die.

hip hip hooray.
