| 1238509 | 2011-10-20 22:40:00 | I hate MSSEs insistance on having updates on. And NOD32 is better. So why not just pay for NOD? It's not that expensive. pctek ... may I ask why you don't like MSSE for having updates on ?? I would have thought that it would have been an advantage, not a reason for not having it. I do agree that NOD32 is the better though. |

| 1238511 | 2011-10-21 00:54:00 | I wasn't suggesting anything about legal / illegal software ... I may be a little confused regarding the "updates". I was under the impression that MSSE did it's updates independently of Windows updates ... i.e. you can have Windows updates disabled, but still have MSSE update automatically ... I may be wrong. | SP8's (9836) | ||

I like to upgrade at the time I choose which is when I'm using the cheapest method to connect and definitely not through my cell phone. |

I may be wrong. It does, you can turn off windows updates completely on W7, and MSSE will quite happily update only its self. Just tried it on PC that I was playing about with. :D |
