2011-06-28 01:58:00 | When I got this email from Orcon I emailed them back and asked them when TiVo was going to be unmetered. Wonder why they never replied?? I spoke too soon. Just got this predictable reply. "At the moment we currently have no plans that I am aware of for this, however if we do take this up in the future we will notify all our customers via email and it will be listed on our website at www.Orcon.net.nz as well."

2011-09-21 12:17:00 | I noticed that I was burning data on TVNZ on demand today and emailed Snap. They said "TVNZ has recently changed the way they provide there on-demand content. Unfortunately this now makes it impossible for us to deliver the content un metered. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused." I am upset by this as it means I will need to shell out for more data this month to avoid dial-up rage. Snap did not inform me of the change. I am very sure they will not compensate. Intentional revenue generation. Don't go with Snap folks! They are not coping with their growth well and not spending enough on ensuring customer care and correct billing. | Anterbury (16438) | |
2011-09-21 12:23:00 | well how much GB per month do you have?? we've got 60GB here

2011-09-21 12:31:00 | 20GB. It usually leaves us with 2-4GB a month to play with. Need to avoid video on skype chat and other restrictions. Doesn't seem worth upgrading now that torrent downloads are a no no. Anyway, it's not about how much I have it's about Snap not telling me of the change. If I had 60GB/mth I would be in the same boat except paying them even more than now. | Anterbury (16438) | |
2011-09-21 20:43:00 | Yeah that sucks, they're usually relatively good... I've just signed up with Slingshot, 250GB for $35 a month (Half price for 6 months, full price for a further 6). I'm over the moon :D

2011-09-22 00:39:00 | I get max line speed (12mbps) to anywhere in NZ & Aus, and a test server I have in France and Florida. That's peak or off-peak, so yeah, only thing I can find to complain about is their helpdesk. I've already lodged two formal complaints about two different helpdesk members. The other two people I've dealt with have been incredibly pleasant and helpful though! Better than any other service I've had, so it kinda evens it out a little... | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
