You are thinking of the UK, its ice cold here in NZ or its nothing (actually we do drink it warm but only if there is no cold beer within 30 clicks)

EDIT: 30 clicks is probably about 20 miles in US speek

I suppose it is dangerous to move from America, because we speak English here. And our food has flavour, so it may be too much of a shock for people brought up on pap.

But most Kiwis drink beer that is so cold it gives you an ice cream headache. According to my son who has indulged in a lot of weasel's pee in America from states from California to Alaska even our worst beer has more flavour than most American beer, so that could be a shock to you as well.

When my son was down on the ice, I sent him a carton of micro brewery beers on Winfly (the mid winter supply flight). The gannets from the McMurdo Sound (American) base sculled most of it within a day or two, because they could actually taste it. Harm can come to people that get exposed to a better way of life...

Where is the fire now Joe?

1211314 2011-06-23 05:05:00 The fire is contained, and I expect they will have it out by 6AM or so. (9 hours from now) Our Federal firefighters are manning his one, as the California State Firefighters are typically reserved for house and building fires, but they can do anything.

The hot-spot fire watch will go on for at least a week now too at the burned-over area of the fire.

1211315 2011-06-23 05:27:00 Good news. Hope too many critters haven't sucked the kumara.

Meanwhile, in safe old NZ, here is another earthquake. Only a squitty one, but they keep you tuned up...

1211316 2011-06-23 05:32:00 I had a buddy phone and tell me Japan had another big EQ - I can't find anything to confirm - even the BBC Radio and your TVNZ station has nothing that I can find.

Any news of it there?
