| 1212520 | 2011-06-27 06:35:00 | we have just had a heat pump installed. a 6.something KW. What temp do you guys set your to and do you leave it running all day or just when you need it ? If in the evenings mine is only set to 22 degress the room is cold, i normally have to have it up around 25 and then it only just maintains a temperature that I can handle !!! Doesn't seem right to me. By the way I am based in Auckland on the shore if that helps and live in a 1960's house that is so so wrt insulation etc. Cheers |

| 1212521 | 2011-06-27 06:40:00 | Get yourself an external thermometer (some nice clocks with them) and stick it on the wall opposite to the heat pump. Then make the room about 21-22 via that thermometer. The heat pump is too close to its own sensor. My heat pump is set normally to about 25 degrees to give about 21 on the other wall. Monitor it every hour as the room will tend to rise (be it ever so slowly) toward the temp set on the heatpump. |

I'm not sure this is the issue as it doesn't stop blowing rather it seems to blow a colder air |

| 1212524 | 2011-06-27 07:34:00 | What size room are you trying to heat? Do you leave the interconnecting room doors open? I only turn my heat pump (5.6 Kw) on in the evening and it is set to 22 deg C on quiet fan mode (minimum fan speed). This maintains a nice temperature although sometimes it gets a bit too warm and 20 deg C still does the trick. This is for a ~95 cubic metre room. |

Presumably your HP is mounted high on the wall, and consequently is picking up the warmer temps near the ceiling . Try standing on a chair for a few minutes and you'll appreciate the extra warmth up there . I'm of the opinion that the HP should be directing its air flow in a manner that will lead to proper mixing/circulation of these heated layers . As such, it seems kinda stupid to direct the warm air horizontally across the ceiling (the point where most heat may be lost!) . I'd suggest you direct the airflow downwards . As for what the thermo is set at - just take your time and learn what reading is just sufficient to take away that perception of the air being a bit chilly . |

All normal. |

Err ? Yeah, in simple speak please ? Lacking an inverter ? It is def an inverter model I know that for sure |
