1212560 2011-06-29 09:04:00 The inside air is less humid: does not automatically follow that the heat pump dried the inside air out... ellpow (16400)
1212561 2011-06-29 09:30:00 Right now I have inside 18.4degC 53%, outside 4.8degC 81% measured using D.S.E. Deluxe Weather Station with outside remote unit, if I bring the remote unit inside it quickly corresponds to the main unit readings.

According to the psychometric chart, at 4.8degC (dry bulb) 81% humidity, there is ~0.004 kg of water per kg of dry air; at 18.4degC (dry bulb) 53% humidity, there is ~0.007 kg of water per kg of dry air.

This means that the air inside has actually got more moisture in it than the air outside.

23.4C inside with 46% humidity and 8.5C outside with 71% humidity.

Looked that up from the psychrometric chart: 0.0082 kg water per kg dry air inside, and 0.0048 kg water per kg dry air outside......in case you were wondering

1212564 2011-06-30 02:57:00 Just out of interest, do you guys heat the corridors or do you just jump between rooms? We use the latter :p Nomad (952)
1212565 2011-06-30 05:10:00 I just heat the lounge, dining area and kitchen which is open plan and have the doors to the passage way shut.
:)
