2011-10-28 07:14:00 | All but 1 of my laptops are Lenovo (IBM) Thinkpad. I have had excellent support on them. I got parts couriered to me overnight - the HDD (mine went bad), a CD-ROM replacement when the door fabric was loose. I did buy them used but the warranty transferred over. Also a mini pci card. What was exactly your computer? Maybe it's the consumer range? Normally Lenovo are not sold at many places. I dealt directly with IBM/Lenovo themselves. The call centre for NZ is located in Australia.

2011-10-30 20:37:00 | What was exactly your computer? Maybe it's the consumer range? No its the Business range , not one of the cheapies either. Support is still getting worse. The tech I spoke to on Thurs, didnt bother to book in the Lenovo Tech for the Onsite Warranty repair (as he said he would), so I had to ring them AGAIN on Friday. Its Monday, still no callback with the Lenovo local repair tech (as promised on Fri), so i will have to ring them AGAIN. Thats 6 calls Ive had to make to Lenovo, for a PC that doesnt work properly, brand new out of the box. Shocking. Never by Lenovo. Ive learnt my lesson.

2011-10-30 20:54:00 | From your post, seems its the Local lenovo local repair, cant go blaming lenovo directly because of one repair agent. Try calling Lenovo directly and complain -- Lenovo Support (support.lenovo.com) or from the Contact us (www.lenovo.com)-- those numbers say with skype but work on a normal phone as well. Keep in mind that you may get IBM, since they are now both the same place. If its DOA, then it should also be taken back to the shop you got it from, not having to deal with problems your self. Being DOA, it should be replaced right away. Just reread the original post -- if you are the shop / reseller then send it back to the supplier -- same thing applies, DOA = replacement, no fixing. Hell, I've had items arrive DOA, ring the suppliers back up, jump up and down :D, and they forward replacement.

2011-10-30 21:30:00 | I'm actually a reseller (IT company). Ive been dealing with Lenovo(Aus I think ) the whole time. They just didnt book a job with the local onsite repair techs.(It has a onsite warranty) Seems I cant return it to Ingram either (I tried that), I need Lenovo's approval for a DOA return.Ingram cant(& wont) accept the return otherwise.

2011-10-30 23:17:00 | Did you actually call: Lenovo Support Centre Pre and Post Sales Technical Support: 0800 472 435 Hardware Warranty Calls: 0800 733 222 Thats from ingrams Warranty description. Going by one other Supplier its: RTD (Return To service Depot) pick up organised by Lenovo. Lenovo need to pull finger by the looks of it.
